People, the iphone is and will always be superior than the dammed G1, there is no comparative between the two units, neither between the two carriers.

All the republics with iPhone’s, and what happens to the US Citizen from Puerto Rico? We are US Citizens, this is not a Republic! And here in Puerto Rico there’s a growing BIG Mac Wave that comes to take Windows or PC out of the market… but we need equal treatment and equal technology!

Why can we purchase the iPod touch in PR but not the iPhone? Also we can purchase every ATT phone exept the iPhone.

On one kiosk in the south area, an AT&T sales rep. told me that she had received an email from top offices that the iphone would be coming to PR on July 17, 2008. She told me that this usually happens when a new phone is coming and they need to go to the top offices to learn about the phone before starting sales.

I don’t know how true this is, but it sure gives me hopes.

Who cares if Claro does or does not have a GSM network? The truth is that neither AT&T or Claro has received the green light on selling the iPhone. It’s Apple fault that they neglected on of their US markets by having their Latin America division service it because, as a US territory, we are more US than anything else and that doesn’t even matters. As a company, Apple can decide how they deal with their territories and markets. How they have dealt with Puerto Rico leaves a lot to be desired. People in Puerto Rico have the awful feeling of being ignored as we do not exist. By Apple’s CEO own words, Hugo Chavez will be able to buy an iPhone before any US citizen residing in Puerto RIco.

The will continue to offer the cdma network because the area of the gsm is so limited. I went to change my cdma phone to a gsm and they told me it will not work where I live. and I live 5 minute from San Juan in the Hato Rey area. so claro gsm sucks.
