My only thoughts are that maybe, just maybe, Apple has a way to rectify this before June 7th during the WWDC keynote. I mean, I cant imagine Steve Jobs being happy with this considering AT&T is the only option for people who buy one of his fancy 3G iPads.

In the past year an a half I have really been updating this site more and more. Sometimes I go a few weeks without updating and sometimes I update too often, but I always think of what can I be posting on the site and how can the site be a reflection of who I am.

I also like a place to show some of my work. I keep trying to get some public projects released, much like the Google Voice Notification script (which is sadly probably way broken now).

I show you part of the header now of what I’m working on, hopefully it will be to everyone’s liking once it’s done.

Pingdom notified me of this and I kind of ignored it at first. The site was down twice that night. The first time for 1h 40m, the second for about 30 minutes. I personally stopped the server the second time as I configured a tighter memory allocation for Apache.

It’s been my first day with the monitoring turned on and it’s already helped me identify a problem and alerted me to the first time that said problem has manifested itself.

I’m going to set this up with a twist for the properties at work, I’m that impressed.

Plans are $9.99/month for 5 sites or $39.99 for 30. Those two plans come with a seven day free trial. They also offer a single site solution for free, which is the one I am using.

Things that I do not expect to be on the iPhone which I would LOVE to see:

• A design that goes with my UNIBODY mac-book a bit more

• AT&T will announce how much tethering will be… I expect $20 on top of whatever plan you have

Things that I do not expect to be on the 3.0 release but I would LOVE to see:

• Google Voice support. This wont happen since Google has not pretended to be working on getting it ready for public release.
• Built-in VoIP SIP support.

Snow Leopard

• Release date before Windows 7 (August)
• Preview of new unified design for all software

• MacBook speed bumps

Things that I do not expect but would be nice to see:

• AppleTV upgrade to compete a bit more closely with ROKU and other streaming devices (Boxee)

Well thats about it. See you guys on the flip side. I still have the E3 roundup of what I thought personally coming up just been tying up some loose ends around the house.

It was when I really got into the whole electronica, the whole dj thing and specially live performances. It was also when everything that a movie I saw the other day (The Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down), seemed to be true. Recreational activities (& drugs), were never as bad as what they said they were, and its all just part of the ritual. I never partook and I guess that’s why they single ‘the sober guy’ in that movie aswell, as the one that can’t be having fun.

I disagree, but I digress.

As fun as that summer was, I don’t think that it is something that I can do anymore, or that I would even want to do again. Getting home at 5am every morning is no longer something I can do. Going to different people’s houses and driving around aimlessly is no longer my idea of fun. I also have a calendar now days… I have grown up.

I have turned into an information whore that just spends every waking minute trying to filter all the multiple channels that I have access to. I believe I do a pretty good job at this too. Which is why I think that I need to put a little more time into this blog. I need to show more aspects of my life, other than just the whole thought process behind video games. The reason for doing this however, comes from a completely selfish place.

I believe that what I’ve been doing of just sharing opinions on my blog is kind of pointless. Specially since my topics are so varied, finding a real ‘angle’ for the blog has been kind of complicated but I think that I just got it. It needs to showcase who I am as an individual.

That is why it is Feli.pe, and Morouxshi.com has taken a back-seat and will be modified as my alter-ego site.

I like what I am now, I just need to make a record for when I realize how I’ve changed again.

I will link to that Flickr photoset when I am done organizing/cataloguing and filtering the pictures.

For those of you who dont know SliceHost is a Virtual Private Server hosting company that allows you full root access to a ‘slice’ and guarantees CPU time. This change was a long time comming and you’ll see the reason for it in the next few weeks

My old design was nice  but it was constricting and did not really allow me to move in any direction that I wanted. I wanted to bring in my feeds from around the internet in an easier manner. I wanted to be able to provide readers with more insight into everything that really goes on, so that when I randomly write a rant about a subject they wouldn’t be caught off guard.

I think I achieved this with this new design. Theres still a missing column in this top area that will be implemented soon. It will allow you to switch between pages, which will be used. I swear. It will also probably feature some kind of statistic about the page. I’m still playing with it. Ideas are welcome.

The design itself is cleaner, I’m using some colors that I always use. The layout is a re-interpretation of the Hemingway Reloaded by Startup365. I say re-interpretation because adding that third column and making it so that the page works with or without it basically took most of their CSS out of the picture. Still credit where credit is due.

The changes will be implemented in the coming weeks I just wanted to get the ball rolling with some fresh paint. New categories and pages will also be added, so that browsing the site is easier through the newly implemented footer.

This theme will most likely evolve as my topics evolve. A search function is also in the works.
