I have talked about a lot of things on this blog, mostly life stuff, and some projects, but I have gone into some detail on very few things. One of the things that I went into details on was how I organized my photos. I then stopped taking pictures basically, it was so hard to carry hardware around and I ended up just being happy with my iPhone.

iPhone photography is great, and every year gets better. You get some tricks down and it just works. However having an actual camera is something I have mostly, always done. My mom always had a Canon P&S I myself have owned a Sony Cybershot DSC-P200/R, which I replaced with a Fujifilm FinePix F200 EXR and eventually a Nikon D80 and a D5200. With all that I have never been able to really settle down and be a photographer, I feel like this year, and I understand the date, is the year that I will add that to my interests in such a way that I should list "Photography" when I talk to somebody.

To that end, I have just purchased a Nikon Z fc. The form factor is very attractive to me, it looks cool and takes pretty nice pictures, in my opinion, which we have discussed is not a very educated one.

I will post my photography on Instagram for now, but I am actively looking for a different place to do that, however I find it so strange to have to do that too... the idea that I used to pay for Flickr to never have to think about my pictures and how they fumbled that so hard is just astounding to me - Instagram got bought out by Meta and Facebook is going to Facebook, I cant fault them for being themselves. I just find it so strange that Yahoo! couldn't make Flickr work, back when Yahoo! was something you'd think about as people with the resources to make something work.

Anyway, I digress, I feel comfortable enough with things to start taking and sharing images again, that's some sort of breakthrough.
